One course could not fit every visitor's trip
Every visitor has different preferences and travel conditions, and fixed course recommendations cannot provide personalized itineraries. When the weather changes, with rain or heat, recommended places stop fitting.
An AI scheduler that plans around preferences and weather
- Built a database of local attractions by city, county and specialty village.
- The AI analyzes visitors' preferences and travel conditions to create itineraries.
- In 2025, weather API integration was added so itineraries include only places that suit the actual weather.
What changed
- The service launched on Visit Busan in 2024, and the weather-aware algorithm was completed in 2025.
- Busan Tourism Organization won the AI Public Service Innovation Grand Prize at the AI Service Award 2025 and the travel and tourism grand prize at Web Award Korea 2025 for Visit Busan. AIO2O developed the service's AI travel scheduler.
